Is There Anything He Won't Do?

For the recent pre-fall 2009 Chanel collection 'Paris-Moscou', the Kaiser directed a 10 minute silent black and white film about Coco Chanel and her flirtation with Russian-Parisian emigre society in the 1910's and 1920's.

Interesting. Apparently the film is available on the Chanel website on December 5th, but I can't find it yet. I guess it is still the 4th in Europe/US/wherever it gets uploaded which is obviously not Australia. Oh, the woes of being ahead of everyone else. It always feels like you have to wait longer for everything.

Anywho, it should be up soon for those who want to check it out. In the meantime here's a clip that is apparently from the film, found at fashionologie.

Laugh Out Loud

This photo from Karl Lagerfeld SS09 totally cracked me up. Karl tends to have that effect on me. Maybe it's because he always looks so straight and serious, so when I see him with his teddy bear, or wearing a yellow traffic safety vest for a road safety advertisement I can't contain myself.

King Karl Pimps Himself Out

Girlfriend is expanding his empire in inneresting ways. This picture just makes me giggle. Karl the bear. Who would want this? For US$ 1500 I hope nobody.

Then there's the French traffic ads that he has been featuring in, which are actually pretty funny.

The french print reads, "It's yellow, it's ugly, it doesn't go with anything, but it could save your life."

Way to go Karl.
