I love everything about Across The Universe. To be more specific I'll put my film student hat on and say...

I love the interpretations of The Beatles' songs, how they are used to tell the story in a way that isn't overly forced, and how the film creates a new meaning for them. I love the imagery, the colour, the psychedelic effects, the composition and deliberate framing that plays in such a choreographed musical way. I love how creative the film is and how it experiments with the image to maintain a sense of meaning in the songs. And I love that the story and how it encapsulates all of the typical 60's themes of war, politics, drugs, and hippie counterculture.

It's definitely not everyone's cup of tea, but I think it is amazing.

Amazing post! I really want to see this movie again...I LOVE the Beatles. I agree the interpretation of the songs was really interesting and the psychedelic scenes were great to watch.
